avid hotels - Zeeland, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is relatively small compared to some of the major hotels in the US. This made it the ideal place to stay for the week I was there. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating especially the reception staff, Chaz, Erin, Christa and Krista. The hotel was very clean, our room was plenty big enough and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom did not have a bath but had very nice shower and the Dove soaps, shampoos & body lotions were perfect. There are no wardrobes in the rooms but there are plenty of hangers and wall hooks. There is also no coffee and tea making facilities in the room but these are available in the reception area 24 hours a day. I prefer this as there is no need to wash cups and no chance of running out of various items. The breakfast was adequate, I am not a breakfast person so fresh fruit, cereals, fruit juice etc is perfect. For our party the location was very good, we were visiting family for a wedding in Holland, there is a petrol station very nearby which had a small 7 eleven shop, although there is also a good selection of snacks and drinks in the reception area for purchase. The car park was more than ample and on occasions had large trucks parked in it but there was still plenty of space. The hotel has a gym, which some of our party used, it also has a small pool which again was used by some of our party. I enjoyed my stay here and will certainly use it again and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

The room was comfortable, clean, staff was phenomenal, breakfast was a nice selection.

The hotel has a modern appeal. No carpet in the rooms which I loved!! I also thought the auto lights in the bathroom were excellent. The bed was comfortable. The thermostat was easy to adjust to a comfortable temperature. The shower and water pressure were excellent. The breakfast was better than your normal continental breakfast offered at most hotels and the coffee was excellent.

Breakfast selection was good. We liked the fact that they had vegetarian omelettes. The fresh coffee was a bonus. We also appreciated that the manager allowed us to use the microwave in the the breakfast area to heat up leftovers for dinner. The location was a bit out of the way from entertainment and dining, but that was only a minor inconvenience.

Close to the highway and locations I needed. On sight parking. Pleasant staff. Great bed and bathroom. I liked the Dove hygiene products. Quiet. Clean, streamlined and modern in appearance. I liked the flooring instead of carpet in the room.
